El Supremo 12 Years
A rum of utmost quality, stemming from a unique Paraguayan heritage dating back to the Jesuits Missions in the 17th Century.
The unbridled fertile land of Paraguay is famous for the quality of the plants and fruits produced there. This is the source of El Supremo; the best natural sugar cane. The hand cut cane is loaded on ox drawn carriages and brought to the crushing mills. There, following the centuries old tradition, the pure sugar cane juice is extracted then boiled in large vats in open fires under the moonlight. The honey obtained is then distilled in copper pot stills. The clear spirit is then aged in unique Incienso wood vats before going into oak barrels for another 12 years. After the master distiller and tasters select which barrels exemplify the rare quality for El Supremo, these barrels meander down the river Paraguay. This 10-day journey is the beginning of a longer voyage from a landlocked organic enclave to be bottled and packed in Europe’s first carbon neutral facility. Then the rare rum is ready for connoisseurs to enjoy.
Presenting El Supremo, a premium natural sipping rum designed for the informed drinker.
